Visiting hours and attendant rules

  • Visiting hours are 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
  • It is compulsory that one responsible person remains available for the patient for 24 hours.
  • In the interest of the patient, more than one person is generally not allowed with the patient in all classes.
  • In an emergency, two persons may be allowed.

Ward behavior and visitor-pass policy

  • Visitor pass rules may change if hospital management feels it is necessary.
  • Patient relatives and attendants should display their passes as instructed.
  • Relatives are strictly requested not to sleep on the admitted patient's bed or any vacant bed in the ward.
  • If a relative occupies a vacant bed, the patient may be charged for that bed.
  • For assistance, contact the sister-in-charge in the ward.

Meals, valuables, and hospital property

  • Patient relatives are requested not to eat with the patient in the ward and should take meals in the canteen only.
  • Patients are advised not to keep valuables with them in the ward. The hospital is not responsible for theft or loss.
  • Any damage caused to hospital property by patients or relatives will be recovered based on assessment by hospital management.

Pharmacy, medicine returns, and support services

  • The dispensing pharmacy is located on the ground floor of the hospital.
  • The pharmacy operates 24 x 7, 365 days a year.
  • The original bill must be produced for returning medicine.
  • The pharmacist will inspect medicine and bill for expiry date, seal, packaging, and BH barcode.
  • Refrigerated products, injections, general items, rehabilitation aids, and devices are not returnable.
  • IPD patients must return balance medicines before discharge from the hospital.
  • Ambulance services are available round the clock.

Respect for staff and patient safety

  • The hospital respects its staff and considers staff protection a duty.
  • Any proven misbehaviour with hospital staff by the patient or relatives can lead to discharge of the patient.
  • Where necessary, appropriate legal action may also be taken.
